What is this type of lure used for?

I’ve actually seen rigs like this used for snapper bluefish. They’ll literally bite at anything. You typically use a wooden dowel bobber with a leader to a hook with a thin 2″ rubber hose covering the shank of the hook and just jig it through the water. That thing would do the same

  2. We used to use McDonald’s straws for mackerel jigs. That float is actually a casting bubble. You can add water to it to add weight and cast light lures farther.
