Hey guys I took the general advice of the sub and planted my kids new tank. I've had it running about a month now with no fish. The plants seem to be doing fine. There is a.. Growth of sorts on one of the plants that I can't seem to find an answer for online.
To me they look like root sprouts but I am guessing. Anyone have a more concrete answer? Thanks!

They’re roots. If you cut the stem below the roots and replant, it will grow.
