I've been trying different frogs to see which I like the most. I used to only use booyah because they are softer bodied and I find they hook up better. But after learning about bending the hooks up slightly I've had great luck with the 6th sense vega frog. I got this 4 pounder yesterday on it. Do you have a favorite?

jackall kaera: good hooks, good hook position with no need to bend them out, good action out of the box, slim profile but moves lots of water, easy to cast/skip in to tight spaces

spro bronzeye 65: the industry standard, walks well with skirt trim, casts well, hooks are good but need to be bent out slightly to improve hookups, i like the body on these but some people find them a bit stiff

river2sea ish’s fat mat daddy: this frog is based off the tekel frog, the body is soft, good hooks, good hook position angled for penetration. This is my go to for truly heavy vegetation. it comes through the thickest goop on guntersville with ease and it slides through the grass mats on the rivers too

4 colours black, white, green, pumpkinseed/bluegill
i prefer black with yellow highlights, white with yellow highlights or light blue, green is most often green/black/brown with a white belly, pumpkinseed/bluegill there are more bluegill than shad in my local waters so i keep these colours on hand for those times bass are pushing gills up in to the weed line or for thick veg with lots of open pockets. If you have shad in your area absolutely get a sexxy shad variant

Light cover/open water? For the money, the Booyah Padcrasher has been tried and true for me within the past 10 years, no complaints.

Heavy mats/thick pad fields? The Spro King daddy or the Megabass Big Gabot have both been pretty solid for me. I prefer the Gabot with its softer plastic, I tend to hook up better than the king daddy, but, to each their own.
