I would also recommend having some frozen food last like shrimp brine or bloodworms

Why diet ? Just don’t feed that often… my fish are getting two times a week food and they live more then 10 years now….

I would say that if you’re looking to vary a diet, 2 different kinds of staple foods and 1 whole food (either frozen, fresh, or whole freeze dried) is a good mix. But as long as the main food you’re feeding is high quality, a varied diet is secondary.

The most important thing when looking into fish foods is ingredient quality. In general fresh/frozen/whole freeze dried are highest quality, omega one and North fin are high quality, hikari is kind of a medium high quality, and top fin/aqueon/other very large brands usually vary from medium to poor quality (although some are high quality, depending on what kind of food it is).

Frozen would be an excellent addition, or live if you want to manage a food culture 🙂 can be a fun side hobby
