I tried throwing a few different lures here and I didn’t get any bites. I saw a frog and a beaver so that’s gotta mean it’s habitable right? Fish brain doesn’t show anything
If you throw a worm under a bobber you should know pretty quickly. Sometimes just good polarized sun glasses can help to actually see the fish.

Literally just throw a bunch of crumbs of some food into the water in a few places and wait to see if anything comes up to eat it. If you’ve got minnows, chubs, sunnies etc then you should see something go for it. If not, don’t waste your time.

Put your hand in the water. Is it wet? Then there are fish. Jokes aside hook and worm to start.
