Went out of Long Island to the canyons with my 2 buddy’s the whole morning and early afternoon was awful my 1st time ever getting seasick (3-4 foot swells in the am) once we reached the grounds tho it calmed down tremendously but there was no bite. Until around 4:30 when we found a pod of whales with about 200 50+ inch tuna underneath. I hooked up and landed a 65 inch bluefin 1st then as soon as we dropped back down it was hit after hit on the vertical jigs. felt like i was watching my YouTube feed but irl. If you have an opportunity to go for bluefin do it. It’s amazing
