Got this used with a full spool of mono. Plan is to use it to throw soft plastics and jigs, nothing heavier than 3/8oz. Targeting smaller pressure pond bass, >3lb.
Assuming you’d swap out the mono, what would you be spooling on this setup?

I like to run braid to a 6 to 8ft fluoro leader. Just make sure it’s at least 20lb braid or more since thinner braid will dig in. Either way I couldn’t recommend this reel enough. Good luck!
30lb braid, anything thinner will tend to bite into the spool and backlash more. Add a leader appropriate for the conditions.
