I added a lid with lights in it, after seeing a couple posts where people said they can JUMP OUT I did not want to wake up or come home to that! My little guy has also developed a tumour on his fins, but thankfully it doesn’t seem to affect his swimming and I’m checking on him every day. He also has tannins in the water from driftwood and Indian almond leaves which I know are antibacterial + anti-fungal, and I’m keeping up with regular water changes and testing. I’ve heard with tumours it can be genetic from bad breeding, he’s between 1.5- 2 years old but he could be older. He was bought from a pet store, and lived in a bowl for 1/12 years with someone before I took him so I have no idea how old he is or what type. Has anyone had a betta still thrive with a tumour? Any advice would be appreciated 🙂
