Aquariums: Stratum is making my water black. How to fix this?
Please help. Bought new stratum. Rinsed it softly as it said on the package. Now the water is just black. My partner suggests to run the filter (mechanical) but I’m thinking we let it settle? Help.

New soil takes days to settle, this is perfectly normal. And yes run your filter, your tank needs that filter for cycling and staying cycled.
