Hey everyone 👋🏻 I recently caught some amazing LMB in a pond a few miles from my house with the best being 4.5 lbs while using a Texas rigged Berkley powerbait craw like the one pictured above but dark purple. Since then I have tried fishing a couple times with the same rig in my neighborhood where I usually do not get skunked ever. I had a giant on right at last daylight and unfortunately I had just respooled and oiled my reel so the drag was set too tight and it snapped the line. After that it got dark and I did not get one nibble. So I am wondering if craw rigs are not suitable for nighttime fishing, if they don’t hit in some ponds, and what you recommend using at night time, as I like to go at night sometimes. This is also the first night it’s gotten chilly here (60° F). Thanks in advance.
