I’ve had this tank for 10 years, last rescaped it 2 years ago. Set to 23c and the lights are on for 6 hours pet day.

It seems that no matter what I do, it gets constantly swamped with this green stringy algae. The plants aren’t really growing either.

I’ve got another smaller tank in another room with the same parameters and it is thriving.

How can I minimise the algae?

Nerite snails are wonderful algae consumers and pair it with some cherry shrimps (doesn’t matter the color) you got yourself a clean tank
