From last week.

My city lakes have remained a little above average temperatures but we finally got some cool weather. Water temps are still dropping and haven't really stablized yet so fishing hasn't been amazing. I spent the day throwing around a combo of plopper/frog/creature trying to get some topwater bites.

Had a big blowup on the frog on a single log laydown but no hooks. Kept walking the bank to some other spots that usually hold fish. Nothing.

Defeated, I headed back to my car but decided to switch up baits to try to get that one on the log. Went with a 1/8 oz weighted swim hook with a 4 inch paddle tail. Kept it up high and pulled it over the log. Big blowup, nice fight, and a couple guys in a boat cheering me on lol

I didn't get a weight because I went to give him a breather right after the pic but he'd had enough.
