I have been getting pretty much all trout, mostly rainbow and then some cutthroat at one lake along with a beautiful brookie.
Went to a new lake, fishing the shore while girlfriend took out kayak, and just apparently had the perfect spot pulling out perch after perch. They seemed small so I threw em back, they were feisty and fun though. Asking some other folks later and apparently this is about the normal size around here. Never eaten perch so maybe I will save a couple next time.
