Anyone have experience with the hood/roof mounted rod holders? From what I’ve seen online, it either attaches with a magnet or suction cup. Exploring solutions to the issue of having to break down rods to move spots. Trying to speed up our set up from spot to spot.
Ideally, we would hang rods out the back while going down the road (average speeds of 45-60 mph) but he tonneau cover pistons aren’t quite strong enough to hold it open at speed and don’t want to crush the rods. For context, this is a 90s short bed Tacoma.
The rods we would use would be 9-12’ surf rods with 4000-6500 sized reels.
Any advice or direction is appreciated.
