I have a Shimano Calcutta conquest, and it is perfect for throwing big lures. Due to me only only having one I love the versatility. I have with the conquest to switch out with my other glide. The only problem is recently. I purchased big baits 10 ounces plus and I don’t want to single-handedly leave the Calcutta only for those big bats. I’ll rather use Calcutta for smaller baits because it works so well with them (9-6 inch glides, magdrafts) . so I’m wondering what reels you guys recommend that can throw larger than usual baits 10+ ounces and still hold up. I want to throw 25 pound floro and it won’t be too hard on the gears.
I would like to do that so I won’t run into the problem with attaching a bait to my Calcutta that’s smaller and weight and losing the action of it due to the line being heavy. I’m open to any brand. I’ve strictly only use Shimano and I’ve been think about the tranx but I’m not 100% sure if you’ll hold up lures that’s over 10 ounces , has any recommendations? Please help me I would really appreciate it.
