I bought this female betta two weeks ago and noticed this lump or spot on her ventral fin when I came home.
She was together with a bunch of other female bettas and some snails in the store. The water I keep her in now is very clean. The spot has not diminished and possibly it has grown a little since then
Does anybody have an idea what it is and recommendations on what to do?

Are you asking about the white dot on her belly? That’s an egg spot, females just have it normally. If that’s not what you’re asking about then I’m not sure what you are asking about, I can’t see a lump on the ventral fins.
