There is a chance you might of seen one of my other post about this last night but basically I started seeing my fish pinecone last night, just barely. Did a water test (nothing alarming),heater working, filter good, took to Reddit, ordered emergency hospital tank supplies. Bc he’s been swimming around still and eating, and only barely bloated I thought I caught it super early and could treat it. This morning I found my betta sunk at the back of the tank on his side not moving. I’ve had two fish with dropsy and both looked completely different from what my fish looked like. Is it normal sometimes to present like this? Is it my fault? I haven’t had a fish in years until I saw this guy at the store and fell in love so I went home and set up a tank begging for him to still be there when it was cycled. I’ve only had him for two months but I’m completely heartbroken, I was hoping to move him into a 29 gallon within the next month and now I’m so sad he won’t be able to swim in more space than he’s probably ever been able to. Sorry if I’m annoying you with my post, ive never had this happen and ig I thought this subreddit would definitely be the answer to understanding it.
