I got this little guys just a few days ago. I have never had betta before and I am very worried as Red hasn’t really eaten anything since I got him. He kinda looks active and okay to me. I have tried giving him pallets and bloodworms and he keeps spitting it out.
I am not sure what to do here. Please help!

Break a pellet into dust and place a small amount of it gently on the surface so it floats . I worked at a fish hatchery and we would always feed the bettas “small pellets” which just meant pellets we had ground up.
You can try freeze dried mosquito larvae, if he doesn’t like blood worms.
Also if he’s picky, and won’t even try to eat, just wait a day or so until he is actually hungry.
