I got the ol free John boat and got it papered thanks to all of your advice. Gave it a wash, no leaks, every point of concern has been addressed by a previous owner. Probably going to throw a few coats of flex seal on the inside and out after I marine JB weld up some of the holes that were made in the side from previous seat mounts unless I find some that fit those holes.
Picked up a 30lb thrust trolling motor for it for $70
Plan to get a $30 cabellas battery, maybe two to run a small fish finder. Any thoughts or tips on this process? The other option from flex seal would be hitting the whole thing with a wire wheel and then epoxy coating the whole outside. Which I feel like would bring more issues to light honestly with the previous patch jobs existing.
