Picked up my first baitcaster rod today. Went with a 7’3” Bull Bay MH fast action LMG with a Shimano SLX 7:2:1 and 40lb braid. My go to spinning rod next to it is a 6’6” TFO Professional Medium fast with a Daiwa Regal reel and 15lb braid. How’d I do picking out the baitcaster and any tips getting started that may save me some growing pain and backlashings?
