I love leopard danios and the long fin varient is gorgeous, id love to have some in a future tank some day. My concern is most long fin breeds are ethically questionable and may have problems swimming.

Do long fin danios struggle in the same way longfin bettas do? Because i really do not stand for it.

No, they swim well! I’ve never noticed them swim differently from my standard danios. From what I’ve seen with my fish, the fins are light and not long/big enough to cause issues.

  2. I wish long fin danios were slower, I have a solo long fin in a 60 gallon than I’ve long since given up trying to catch.

I think most fancy goldfish are unethical and these are a long long way from that.

Long fin bettas get in the way of swimming and can get caught, this guy doesnt look to be hindered hy those amazing fins at all.
