I caught some white catfish on cut bait during mid day and decided to keep one for the table. Normally I only keep channel cats but I’ve been wondering if these guys are good? I’ve kept brown bullhead before and they weren’t bad

That’s just a channel cat bud.
Never eaten or even caught a white cat, but I’d imagine its identical to channel cats meat and taste. Taste probably depends on quality of the water its caught from and how fresh you keep it til you cook it
Try it you might like it . I’ve eaten fish people normally won’t eat and found some very tasty .
tbh of it aint poison or 2 small (like ember/neon tetra size) theres 0 reason why not
