I came back from vacation two days ago, and found one of my bettas dying, i had forgotten to replace the lid when i left for the flight and the caretaker did not see it. Water evaporated and the heaters emergency function triggered. He swam in cold water for several days and caught an infection. I did a fast test ( Parameters ok, except beeing harder than usual due to the evaporation), a waterchange, added an indian almond leaf and reheated the tank to 80 F. He got his energy back but the swimming issue is still there and he needs medication. I´m thinking to do a hospital tank with seachem paraguard and epsom salt baths because i have those things at home. But i am unsure if that is the right action. Any advice appreciated i can order medication as long as it is available in Europe.
