Betta Fish: How much to feed?

Never had a giant betta before, how much do they eat? I gave him around 6 pallets after acclimating him to the tank and he just gobbled them up effortlessly, whereas my half moon cant even fit them in his mouth 😭

Also cutting a lid for the tank tonight and is currently covered by cardboard. Any other giant betta tips are appreciated, I only got him around 2 hours ago and his name is Napoleon 😀

He seems to be doing well although he keeps trying to fight the filter flow and he hates the baby snails that came in on the plants, other than that he’s settling in well!
