How do you spool your reels with braid? Do you use a mono backing, electrical tape, tie to spool and walk off?

  1. Huh? Braid is normally the backing and then you use Fluro as your leader line for a lot of applications.

  2. I’ve been using 60 pound Sunline FX2 for a couple years now and couldn’t be happier with it.

On that reel, I would just tie the braid though two of holes in the spool and load it on.

  4. I just straight braid , arbor knot to spool tape it off and reel her up. 8 foot leader knot of Floro at the top.

Always do. Fish it through one of those holes and out another, small cinch knot and you’re golden.
