Betta Fish: Please help! Came back from a few days gone and my betta has a sore on his body and swelling under his hill. What is this and how can I help him?

I pulled my PB out earlier in the year on the 3rd cast of a kayak tournament (largies, smallies and spots). 32″ coming in at 19lbs off a crankbait. Made my 3rd cast at 6:32AM and didn’t make my 4th cast until 6:55am lol
