I have just put my first betta into a new tank today and he has eaten what was left over from the cycle last night but for the past few hours he has been laying on the gravel. I have owned plenty of other fish but this is my first time keeping a betta and I am worried he might be struggling to adjust to the water. I have used API QuickStart and a betta water conditioner over 24 hours ago and am wondering if this is normal. He seemed to be a bit more active at the pet store and is now mostly just on the gravel. He is breathing and blinking. Is this normal and is there anything I can do??

I believe the tank is 15L and the temperature is at 26 degrees Celsius. I put him in the tank around 6 hours ago and he seemed fine for the first hour then began laying on the gravel. He has no tank mates, has eaten pellets and bloodworms today and has a filter with a water flow down the glass so it isn’t too strong.
Did you acclimate him to the water
What are your parameters? How exactly did you cycle the tank?
