I took my 11 year old to the N. Platte in Southern Wyoming this weekend and she vehemently refused my help the entire time. (No casting for her, no handing over my rod once I had a fish on, etc.) she was unable to land a fish, yet I’ve never been so proud.

She’ll be pissed if I don’t mention that she was able to land some brookies on her own when we hiked up to an alpine Lake on the Snowy Range.
She needs to be wearing glasses so she doesn’t lose an eye. Otherwise, good job dad.
