Currently no fish are in the tank. The temperature is like 79/80 today.. the water parameters are all good. and I was thinking about putting three females and one male in the tank. Do I need to add something else?

the tank is absolutely gorgeous but you cant put a male with a female and especially not that many females, they will almost most definitely fight

  2. Be careful of the males you might end up with baby betta, if that’s not something you want I suggest not. But it looks great! Three or four females should be good and I love how planted it is. So many hiding spots

If you do want to have a betta sorority (no males) I’d suggest finding an online breeder who sells sororities so they have a higher chance of getting along. How big is the tank? I got my sorority from pnwbettas, in a 40 gallon, they need minimum of 20 (long is better). Also find some floaters to fill up the top space for more hiding spots. Looks great!

OP you can have multiple females in the tank. How many gallons is it ? There are definitely enough spaces to hide and prevent bullying especially if you get babies. Just remember to keep watch and DO NOT ADD A MALE . You’re on the right track make sure to add a pleco or something to help with algae from the plants and your tank looks great !

  5. If you want a bunch of flashy shiny fish together in an aquarium, get a bunch of guppies not bettas.
