It's a tale as old as time… if it isn't broke don't fix it. I liked the idea of being able to just load my gear in a single box and go. However, for $200 (I got it on sale for $80) this thing is so UNDER-engineered. It's not stock waterproof, it looks like you could make it waterproof but again, $200? It should come water proof.
Aside from that i liked it, sort of. I think its a case of my DIY options were just too nice with so many more pros than cons. If I was going to settle for a not-waterproof option i like my OG a setups best. Plus these have the option of me switching out PVC "attachments" for my home made fly rod holders.
Would love to hear about anyone's "wins" with a kayak crate option or DIY!
