Aquariums: What’s this hairy thing that is taking over my water plants?

I think it’s staghorn algae, I have it in my tank right now. It hadn’t taken over but I’m not entirely sure how to get rid of it. I have a lot of rocks with trace amounts of iron in them which I’ve heard is what this algae feeds on. But I am no expert
