  1. This is a 10 gallon tall that will be used for some variety of shrimp and snails. I’m thinking maybe Monte Carlo in the front, moving the mini cardinalis to the middle, and pearlweed or Jungle Val at the back

  2. Im not sure about plants but I built my tank with sticks from a tree (dead standing in the desert) I cut down and now they’re growing weird colored things. I’m not sure if I have any advise so much as a heads up

  3. Looks great!! I’d put some subwassertang in there too, my blue dream babies love it .. Maybe in the shaded area for a good hiding spot, plus for me it seems to grow thicker and slower in low light scenarios ..

  4. I’d be careful with using random wood. Some of it leeches toxic compounds into the water. Do you know what kind of tree it came from?

Make sure the wood is not wedged forcefully – it can expand in water and put pressure on your glass :>

  6. I think you need to be sure it’s a hardwood so it does not rot in your water.

Also boil the crap out of them.

pygmy grass and some java ferns would look awesome.
