Avid medium heavy fast 7’ 2 piece. Rated 8-14lb. As you can see it snapped between 2nd and 3rd eyelet. I hooked into maybe a 6lb coho give or take with 12lb leader with drag loose enough for him to peel when he fought, but enough for me to keep him out of the deep fast current and structure.

I will never have confidence in this rod again other than for bluegill. It definitely won’t hold up to a decent pike or bass or honestly a decent rainbow. It’s honestly extremely disappointing for $250 I was expecting better performance than this. Hopefully the warranty doesn’t take 3 months like my other 2nd section replacement did for another rod. The warranty process time already went from 10-12 days to 14-17 in just three months time. And I’m sure they’ll tell me they don’t have the second section in stock again lol

All I can say is steer clear of st croix
