  1. Anything with a mouth big enough for the lure and hook. There are so many types of fish down there it would take all day to list them.

Peacock bass are kinda picky. You’re more likely to land a large mouth but you never know.

  3. I catch peacock all the time. If they are on a nest, they will hit that. Just let it settle on the bottom and twitch it up and down. If they aren’t on a nest, it’s going to spin too much. Use a rapala and twitch it hard mid water column let rest, repeat. Also, re-tie that knot. Line is kinked, and the tag end is an abomination. Use a Palomar knot, trim the tag.

I bet snook and speckled trout would love that bait if you’re fishing in salt or brackish.

  5. Wrong hook and you rigged it kinda wonky but to answer your question a lot of stuff.

Down there I’d probably prefer some type of white or if I wanted contrast Purple.

I’ve never fished south of Canada, but I’m gonna say probably a lot if it has good movement

  7. You are going to want to put a jighead or sinker in front of that. They don’t swim well weightless

Just a suggestion here… Wet your knot before you draw it down so the heat generated from pulling the knot tight doesn’t weaken the line. Saliva works.
