Them and their very close relatives kelp bass and spotted sand bass fight over 3 times as hard as largemouth and are a blast to catch in surf, harbours, and boats. Caught this guy on anchovy on a double dropper loop rig, you catch them on traditional bass techniques and lures too. They will even bit big yellowtail lures.
