I can’t figure out why he keep laying on his side. Been doing this for a few days now. I’ve done water changes. He’s never had this problem before. I’m taking a sample of his water to the pet store. I have another tank with a betta fish and he’s perfectly fine.

Take out that minion statuette and do a water change, it looks a bit eroded and they can leach harmful chemicals into the water when that happens (Those chemicals don’t show up on the usual tests).
Did you try dosing aquarium salt?
Without further info, it’s pretty hard to make a diagnosis, but a low dosage of Aquarium Salt is a good “Fish isn’t doing so well”- all round first-aid.
