My guess is probably no but I’d appreciate some input anyway. How can I had shrimp hiding places that my betta won’t get stuck in? Those of you who keep shrimp with bettas, what do you do? Those of you who tried and it went wrong, what happened?

I know you should add shrimp before a betta, so I’ve already gone wrong there. However the betta is my first priority and I was anxious to get her home.
I plan to remove her, change some decor around, add the shrimp and then add her back so it seems like new territory. Is that a good plan? I’m tied between glass shrimp or cherry shrimp, the tank is 10 gallons.

  2. Genuinely ymmv with bettas and shrimp, it depends on how aggro your fish gets for them. For hiding this isn’t enough and I’d recommend adding more plants as well as some small hides that the betta won’t fit in but shrimp will (I have mini castles, but moss works pretty good too)

The idea is to break sight lines so that should the fish go after a shrimp they lose track of the shrimp.
