Dropshot bait rigging

Hi guys, I have a small question on dropshot rigging.

I've recently started using dropshot to catch more / smaller fish but have come accross this issue:

I can clearly feel the bite, literally feeling the fish pulling on the line but cannot for god sake set the hook … The picture is essentially it, at least 5 times I feel the bite and try to set the hook but all I find is my lure having been pulled from the hook…

This happened on multiple occasions.

Am I doing anything wrong ? How should I put the lure on the hook in order to get a better hook set?

Additional info : I am fishing in a region with Zander, Perch and Aspius. I am fairly certain that these bites are either Perch or Aspius.
