I bought an assassin snail to cull off bladder snail (now its offspring) that hitched a free ride on plants I bought for my tank.
He's been in there now for five days and not only is the main culprit still alive, their offspring were (I squished shudders), now there's more eggs 😭. I completely cleaned the tank, ornaments and plants when I was doing a water change.
I'm sure I bought a dud 😂.

he may not be doing much since you’ve actually been sold a zebra nerite snail! probably as far opposite to an assassin there is. they’re an incredibly peaceful snail that are algae eating machines. females will leave eggs around your tank, but they won’t hatch as they need salt water.
I think thats because the snail in the picture is a nerite snail not a assassin snail, looks to be a zebra nerite
This is a nerite, it will not kill anything in your tank. Assassin snails are smaller and have cone shaped shells with a proboscis on their head
Oh! Omg I feel stupid now! 😅🤦♀️ – it was sold as an assassin snail, I took the @$$ out of assassin for not doing my research 🫣.
