Best reel for this 5’ Eagle Rod?

Hi All,

I’m pretty new to fishing and bought this Fenwick Eagle 5-foot rod!

I’ve always been a fan of just smaller things so I of course got the shortest rod.

I’ll probably just be fishing in smaller lakes and streams.

I do want to maximize casting distance though – so maybe a 2500 reel with heavier line? My budget is around $75. So maybe the president?

To catch bass or just really anything I have no preference.

Basically, what line and reel will make this rod as dynamic as possible? How can I catch even decently large sized fish on this from a decent distance?
