Just realized I'm doing everything wrong. I just started fly fishing this year for native brookies In southern nh. I have used straight fly line to 4-5x leader. Apparently, I'm supposed to have a tippet too. I have also tried using just straight 6 pound monofilament as a leader. For fishing tiny streams like I am, does all this stuff even matter? I haven't had an issue catching fish at all.
