Hi everyone,

Anyone who saw my previous post, you know I’m tryna do the best for the fish my boss wants to keep in the office. I’m sorry to say that Franklyn passed, which was very hard to deal with as he had started improving and eating again. Thank you for your help, everyone! I’ve been filtering the tank and doing 20% water changes 3x a week as my boss wants to get another fish already. I told him to let the tank fully establish before we get another one, and he thankfully agreed.

Now I’m wondering about the best heater controller so the tank doesn’t go too hot/too cold over the weekends or while I’m not in the office to monitor it, especially with winter approaching when I’ll mostly be working from home. I was looking at inkbird, as I’d seen them mentioned here before. Does anyone have suggestions? The ITC-308-WIFI one (pictured) seems like it might work best since I can monitor it while I’m away from the office. If anyone has better suggestions, please let me know!

I never got one of these.

What I actually did was switch to a rimless tank, and then get a fan that sits on the rimless tank without any extra attachments and have a automatic heater that you can set the temperature to and it’ll be go to that temperature each time it attach the temperature is getting too low.

Basically I have my tank fan on low setting and my heater on 79 and the only times I ever have to turn it off is when it gets too cold like in the winter.

I can send you the link if you want.
