Hi everyone, this is my first aquarium and I’m really excited to get it fully set up. I’m working on the hardscape at the moment and am a bit stuck on where to place the rocks. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’ve attached a picture of the rocks that I have at the moment.

I also plan on placing stem plants behind the driftwood as well as a few other plants like crypts and mosses on and in front of it. Let me know what you guys think

Also, the tank is 16 gallons with dimensions of 60cm x 30cm x 36cm

  1. You have a great piece of wood as a free cal point. I would go very light on the rocks because you don’t want to detract from that or make tank seem crowded. Maybe use rocks sparingly to hide any unnatural element like an airator or such.

  2. Put a sand fall down through the driftwood. If you set it up the right way, you could use a different color sand. It would be just inspiring. There are instructions all over YouTube.
