It’s the baitcaster Canadian again! Pulled up another pig yesterday from a public dock. I had amassed quite the audience of curious children by the time the fight was over.
Got him using my standard method feeder and hair rig setup, but I’m still refining my packbait recipe. Standard corn/jello/breadcrumbs trio, but does anyone use corn starch to dehydrate the mix and firm it up?
Saw a video about a guy making his own powerbait and that was his trick to getting it to dissolve slower in the water.

I’ve had good luck using cream corn, panko, oats and jello. I fish deep water, so I experimented until I found what stuck together well. Just mix it slowly until it starts to clump together. Nice dark colored carp!

  2. I use baitcasters too! I use rods and reels people use for bass fishing😂I live in the Missouri Ozarks and the fish are not pressured and I just use a hook and my doughbait.Beautiful fish! I got an 11 yesterday as the sun was rising.👍
