I got a 10foot medium heavy spinning rod with regular action and it says that max lure weight is 100g as shown in pic and max line weight 60lb + the word shorecasting is written on it too so what would u suggest for piers beaches inshore in general for big game fish and medium fish . I asked the guy and he said its used for jigging and heavy casting . My biggest goal is to catch a GT and a tuna sp do i use a popper?

For tuna use a squid, just google squid lure tuna.
