Came here with worms, but didn’t even get a bite. This is a lake that has bass, trout, perch, crappie, and catfish in it. At this spot, the bottom is gently sloping down, no holes that I could find. Lots of lilly cover. Where there’s no lillies, there’s still vegetation underneath, and it’s pretty thick. I was thinking of coming back with a top water rig, but I know that people have fished perch and crappie out of this spot.

Topwater frog all day. After that I would be pitching a jig into the pads.
If I was after panfish I would probably cast and retrieve small jigs along the weedlines.

I think time of day and temps matter a lot. If it’s hot and sunny I basically never get anything.
If I was in your shoes I’d be trying something weedless like a Texas rig

Bank or boat? Drop worms in the holes. Try spinning baits on the edge. Frog if you have them.

Frog in the early morning. Once the sun comes up I’d either swim a jig around the edges/through the thin spots, throw a heavy jig into the holes, or punch
