Three outings since the installation and I’m enjoying it! Adding the rudder to my kayak completely changed the game! I fish a harbor and pitch at docks, so while I’m drifting dock to dock I’m able to steer myself around with my feet instead of having to let one hand off the rod and paddle awkwardly with my forearm. Asides from that paddling from point A to point B is less tiresome with how well the rudder helps me track. If I need to turn I don’t have to focus so much paddling on one side to turn around, one paddle with the rudder in the direction you want to go and your dang near spun a 180. Everything is still holding up as tight as when I installed it. No rust on the galvanized tie rods. Couldn’t be any happier with this project.
