If there's anything in the general area this lure gets results . Rebel Crickhopper in summer yellow .
I toss it near trees bushes or anything overhanging the water and often get a hit within seconds of it hitting the water .
It hits the water , I let it sit for a few seconds like the cricket got stunned then shake the tip of my ultralight rod vigorously yet gently to mimic trying to swim . Let it sit a few seconds , repeat again . If there's no bite by a 3rd flicker I reel it back in but most times it never gets past the first splash of there's something there . Yesterday I caught 3ea 1 pounder large mouth in just a few minutes . A young teen girl came by and asked if she could try out a baitcaster so I showed her how to use it and not bird nest . Second cast she caught a huge Bluegill . It was getting dark at that point so we parted ways .
