I think its too big for a bluegill’s little mouth. Not saying it couldn’t work but i don’t think it will work very well.
Could you put it tail first into a soda bottle without it getting hung up? Because a soda bottle has a bigger mouth than a bluegill.

That’s definitely a bass jig. Too big for bluegill. Try a 1/16 rooster tail and you’ll catch them non stop.

Also if trying to make your own you can make rooster tail style inline spinners either from kits or from wire, weights, paint, hooks, some squirrel tail hair, and blades

I would say “absolutely,” but that hook may be a little big. Almost any pattern will work though. I’ve caught bluegills on a bare hook before.
