Caught these two beautiful super healthy trout and I think there rainbows but why are there backs so dark other rainbows I’ve caught have been much lighter? Is there something too do with it being in a lake or stream or maybe water temperature? Or just habitat?

It could be surroundings, the strain of trout, or both.
Don’t look that dark to me.
They look like steelhead
What color is the meat?
